Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the ride start and end? [back to top]
The Journey begins in Gig Harbor, WA and ends at the Statue of Liberty. Click here to view an updated route map.

Are you looking for others to ride across America with you? [back to top]
Due to insurance and logistical concerns, the Hope and Courage Journey riders are limited to the Mortimers. However, you can organize a ride that escorts the HCJourney Team as they come through your town. (See below)

Will you be riding through my town? [back to top]
Maybe. The route is currently being developed. Due to weather and road conditions the route is subject to change.

How can my community be a part of this unique opportunity? [back to top]

  • Coordinate an evening rally. Work with your local faith-based community to schedule an evening with the HCJourney Team. The evening should include music performances along with a special message from Bob. Bob will tell how his personal faith in God gave him Hope and the Courage to live the life of a victor not a victim.

  • Organize a bike ride with the Journey Team. Organize a bike ride that joins the Mortimers on a segment of their journey in your area. Bob rides at a speed that is great for the whole family.

  • Donate goods, services, or money. Lodging, meals, equipment, and good old fashioned money are needed to keep The Hope and Courage Journey on track. All help is appreciated. Donations are tax deductible.

How do I donate money to Hope and Courage Across America? [back to top]

Is my donation tax deductible? [back to top]
